Pair of 1930s Finnish Patinated Brass Wall Lights Attributed to Paavo Tynell. A highly refined pair of adjustable rectangular wall lamps executed in attractively patinated brass with rotating shade and original on/off switch. A highly functional design of deceptive simplicity, these wall lights exude Finnish refinement. Paavo Tynell designed nearly identical wall lamps for various well-documented hospital projects in Finland in the 1930s. Unmarked.

Professionally rewired for US electrical with new black twist cloth cord and period-style US wall plug. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.
Each lamp accommodates 1x 60w equivalent standard medium base (e26) LED bulb (LED only). Some age appropriate scuffs, dings, nicks, losses and wear as largely shown and noted only for accuracy. Please note that only one representative example appears in the photos. Some variation between lamps, but both lamps in comparably good condition and present well as a pair.
