Pair of French Neoclassical Style Gilt Bronze and Cut-Glass Lamps
French, 20th Century
Height 75cm, width 24cm, depth 20cm
Designed in the Neoclassical Louis XVI style, this pair of lamps are shaped like vases, and crafted from fine cut glass and ormolu materials. The vase-like body of each lamp is ovoid shaped, with scrolled ormolu handles to the shoulders and classical masks either side. They both feature square plinth-like bases, mounted with further ormolu detailing. The lamp fixture springs from the top of each vase. -
