Description
Poul Henningsen PH 4½ - 4 glass pendants for Louis Poulsen. The PH 4½ - 4 glass pendant light features handblown white opal glass shades, which have been sandblasted on the undersides and a high luster chrome-plated suspension.
The PH 4½ - 4 glass pendant light is a member of the PH 3-shade family which originally conceived in the winter of 1925-1926 for a large exhibition hall in Copenhagen, Denmark called "Forum". The PH 3-shade family is based on the principle of a reflecting multi-shade system, creating a harmonious and glare-free illumination. The shades are drawn over a logarithmic spiral, with the center of the light source placed in the spiral's focal point.
