Rare Italian Art Deco Handblown Clear Beaded Chandelier
-
Description
A rare and spectacular Art Deco chandelier comprised of a myriad of handblown beads strung together like pearls on a silver painted metal fountain form, the two tiers surmounting a scalloped edge beaded basket capped by a bottom ball. The semi-opaque colorless beads with inclusions interspersed with scattered amber and pale green hues is most likely Venetian, but nevertheless reminiscent of Maison Bagues . Professionally cleaned and newly wired, each of the six sockets can accommodate up to 60 watts. The height listed below is of the body and can be suspended from any length hanging chain.
Expertly crafted nearly one hundred years ago, this elegant and grand chandelier would transform the ordinary into the extraordinary and would work beautifully in an eclectic or period room. -
