A French polychrome ceramic table lamp by Vallauris artist Robert Picault with natural colored cord shade. In the color of green that Picault favored.
Signed Picault.
The artist is documented the in important book "La céramique française des années 50" by Pierre Staudenmeyer.
Robert Picault, along fellow artists and friends Jean Derval and Roger Capron, participated in the revival of the city of Vallauris. Coinciding with Pablo Picasso's arrival to Vallauris (Also one of Picault's dear friend and artistic collaborator), the flourishing scene would later be known as the golden age of French modern ceramics.
