Description
These statuesque torchiere lamps are constructed of spun aluminum with spun brass accents. They were designed and produced by Russel Wright in the 1930’s. These torchiere lamps have the the signature round maple turn knob for their mogul sockets. These sockets support up to 300 watts in a 3-way mode or a reducer can be used for a standard socket. Beginning in the1930’s Russel Wright and his wife Mary created Wright Accessories, a very successful company that was responsible for bringing Modernism to the average American family. Simple, functional and informal modernism are the words that best describe Russel Wright’s design aesthetic.
