Description
Angelo Gaetano Sciolari was born in Italy in 1927. After graduating from the Faculty of Architecture, he returned to his first passion: film, and in particular cinematography. However, after the death of his father in 1949, Sciolari had no choice but to take over the family lighting business. In just a few years, the designer transformed the company and brought it to the international stage. Sciolari became the first Italian lighting retailer in the United States (imported to America by Lightolier and Progress Lighting)! Sciolari's creations were even featured in the famous Dallas series! Gaetano is not only a brilliant entrepreneur, but also a prolific and talented designer. He has worked for big names in design such as Stilnovo, Boulanger and Stilkronen.
Here we have a table lamp in travertine, brass and painted metal table lamp, complete with lampshade produced by Sciolari in 70s.
Good condition, fully working.
Presence of the brandmark as shown in photo.
The light can be rewired for US standards upon request. -
