Description
This rare three-legged floor lamp was manufactured in France in the early 1950s.
The striking base is marked by the three sculptural, curved legs ending in striking flat feet. The entire lamp was produced by hand in a natural wrought iron which has been finished in a hammered and intentionally distressed way. The lamp offers an interesting contrast between the elegant shape of the design and the rough textured finish of the material, combining a French Modern shape with a Brutalist style execution.
The wrought iron with a beautiful, naturally developed patina. The slightly tapered drum shade has been custom made in an ivory linen textured fabric, with a very pleasant and soft light distribition. Rewired and currently with a 220V European plug and standard E26/E27 bulb fitting -
