1960s metal and glass flushmount by Bruno Gatta for Stilnovo. Executed in black painted metal with opaline glass and brass hardware. A sculptural and refined design characteristic of 1960s Italian design at its highest level. Unmarked or labeled. Stilnovo was one of the most innovative Italian lighting design companies during the midcentury era. Their designs have been long sought after by collectors in the know. Literature: "Stilnovo: Apparecchi per L'illminazione" pub. Luminaires-Moderniste, related suspension model pp. 153 & 156 Professionally rewired for US electrical. Accommodates 3x 40W max US candelabra bulbs (higher with LED). Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing available from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee.
