This exceptionally rare Scandinavian Modern floor lamp was produced in Sweden in the 1950s. The design is attributed to Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen who designed different models for the Swedish manufacturer ASEA. The elegant design is marked by the cone shaped shade with alternating vertical perforations at the bottom and small dotted perforations at the top. The perforations create a beautiful light effect when the piece is illuminated. The shade can be adjusted up and down into different positions. The brass arm creates a beautiful curved and angular form and is connected to the central stem with a brass sphere shape. The thin steel stem is finished in a matt black powder coated paint. The round, trapezoid shape foot is in the same finish, the top with a brass cover. The lamp is in very good original condition, minor signs of wear on the metal. The brass with a naturally developed, attractive patina. Currently wired with a 220V European plug.
