"Turtle Back" Border Table Lamp

Description
The shade of this original Tiffany Lamp is largely formed by a geometric grid of mottled Tiffany Glass in a soft shade of green. The glass subtly transitions from more deeply saturated near the crown to a paler tone with hints of creamy white along the lower edge of the shade. This somewhat restrained background is punctuated at the widest point of the shade by a decorative horizontal band of pressed Tiffany Favrile Glass “Turtle Back” Tiles in rich emerald green glass, the irregular surface of each tile accented by vibrant rainbow surface iridescence.

The shade is paired with a footed bronze Tiffany Lamp base decorated with pod motif, with telescoping stem, allowing the height of the lamp to be adjusted.

Both the shade and base of this original Tiffany Lamp are signed.
