An exceptional Tiffany Studios leaded glass and gilded bronze desk lamp in the Venetian pattern.

The cone-shaped leaded glass shade is notable for the deeply saturated jewel tones of the Tiffany Glass used throughout. The shade comprises a stylized design of round and oval medallions, the oval medallions with alternating designs of fleur de lis and palmettes in green, the upper register with smaller circular medallions depicting alternating geometric motifs in red, green, and blue glass. Each medallion is bordered by the same mottled yellow glass as the upper and lower border rows; the background glass is formed by a deeply saturated blue glass.

The shade sits on a sculptural and reticulated gilt bronze base featuring an intricate scrollwork motif, coordinating with the Venetian Desk Set, with a band of inset pressed round glass jewels in a vibrant shade of green. A relief design of ermine forms a border at the foot.

This original Tiffany Lamp retains its reticulated heat cap with matching motif; the Venetian Desk Lamp is one of the rare Tiffany Lamps designed with its own heat cap.

Both the shade and base of this authentic Tiffany lamp are signed.
