This elegant pair of table lamps was produced by AB Stilarmatur Tranås in Sweden in the 1960s. Made of teak wood, the circular bases have an interesting hand carved arched motif throughout. Tapered stem and a beautiful wood grain visible throughout. The renewed drum shades are a custom design in a beautiful linen Svenskt Tenn fabric. In Josef Frank’s Baranquilla print, lianas are crafted into a beautiful scenery of lush fruits, flowers and leaves. The print was designed around 1943-45 during Josef Frank’s stay in New York – a place where many of his imaginative designs took form. The light switch is a push button on the socket.. One of the lamps is labeled with the original manufacturers label. The lamps have a standard E26/E27 bulb fitting and are currently wired with a European 220V plug.
