Description
What makes this 'Panama' Lamp by Wim Rietveld so unique is that it is in a perfect original condition. The shade is still in the original lime green colour and has no dents or scratches. The diffuser is original too but for the picture we used a new one (original too) because the old ones became too hot when using a 100W bulb (but who uses that nowadays?) We still have the old diffuser and it's in very good condition too. (in 99 out of 100 cases the old diffuser is broke or missing but this time not). So the lamp will arrive with two diffusers! The lamp is completely rewired and is good for US use. Some clever hinges (3 in total) consisting of multiple interlocking rings (11) make sure that the chosen position is firm so no sagging or anything. Many different positions possible. You can adjust the hinges by using the small red ring-wench when fine tuning the arm positions. The ring -wench is cleverly stored behind the button to switch it on. All working perfectly.
A real collectors item, because of its condition and completeness, and for anyone who loves the work of Wim Rietveld and industrial design in general!
The sizes mentioned are the sizes of the shade! The rest I am sure you can figure out yourself. -
