19th c. Italian Reverse Etched and Beveled Mirror in the Classic Venetian Style

Description
A classic Italian Venetian mirror in the Baroque style. Beveled mirror with openwork pediment and reverse etched floral details surrounding the central mirror plate. Individual reverse etched and beveled border pieces at each seam secured with translucent floret appliqués. Overall good condition with some naturally occurring age related foxing. Mounted on a wood panel. This mirror would be beautiful in a powder room or entrance hall.

As would be expected, given its age, there are some old repairs: a break in a piece of the pediment to the right of the mirror, a break in a border piece at the bottom right of the mirror, and a translucent floret on the bottom right was replaced.
