Description
Charming 19th century nutwood wall mirror from the famous Biedermeier era in Vienna/ Austria around 1840. This eyecatching antique Biedermeier wall mirror comes with a traditional substructure made of spruce wood and impresses with its beautiful, thick veneered nutwood surface showing a fantastic looking grain. The straight shaped frame shows a slightly camfered surface (see picture #12 & 13) and even the outer edges have been veneered. A traditional hand polished shellac finish finalizes the great restored look of this precious wall mirror which mirror plate has been renewed during the restoration process. A real gorgeous example of a Biedermeier nutwood mirror spreading this exceptional charme of long past era. The backside of this masterpiece is closed with a cardboard and the hand forged metal ring on the back makes wall mounting easy.
