Art Nouveau giltwood swivel table mirror, carved in the form of the Winged Victory of Samothrace, who is holding the mirror frame between her up-swept arms, the carved round mirror is bordered by an egg and dart pattern, mounted on legs ending in paw feet on a triangular base. The glass mirror plate is beveled. The Winged Victory of Samothrace, also known as the Nike of Samothrace, was created at about 190 BC and discovered in 1863 in Samothrace, a Greek island in the northern Aegean Sea.
