    Exceptional Black Forest Mirror from the late 19th century in Austria around 1870. This phenomenal, elaborately hand carved rustic wall mirror impresses with its simple but artfully designed "tree trunk" frame. Hand crafted of fine basswood and combined with an intense dark brown, almost black finish, this extraordinary Black Forest wall mirror spreads this special kind of rustic flair in every room. The large, elaborate worked center carving depicting oak leaves with acorns is the main highlight and finalizes the wonderful rural appearance.
