A modern polychromatic mirror designed by Ettore Sottsass of the post-modernism movement, part of the series Gli Specchi di Dioniso produced by the Italian Company Glas Italia in Brianza, circa 2007. This Memphis Design piece comes from a private collector outside Milan and can be accompanied by the other two Ettore Sottsass mirrors of this series in our inventory.
The square mirrored plate is surrounded by a deconstructed circle to create magic and drama in refraction, with stepped quarter shapes in pink red, yellow, green and purple blue colored laminated mirror, acquiring different tints depending on the light source. It can also hung from any corner. Signed on reverse.
Glas Italia is widely known for high quality glass craftsmanship and celebrated collaborations with famous designers including Patricia Urquiola, Philippe Starck. -
