French 19th Century Louis XV-Style Gold Gilt and Beveled Glass Mantel Mirror

Description
This ornately carved and gilded Louis XV-style mantel mirror, c. 1860’s, was found in France and features an elaborate “foliate-and-scroll” crest and a stylized “egg-and-dart” frame with applied scrolls in the lower corners. It displays an incredibly rich patina and retains its original beveled and lightly foxed mercury glass that shimmers in the light!
