Antique Belle Epoque Gilt Carved Mirror
-
Description
Monumental Belle Epoque style gilt wall mirror with elegant carved frame, from the storied Park Lane Hotel in London. Dates to circa 1900. Hand-carved frame is richly decorated with curling acanthus leaves and floral medallions. Topped with a handsome pediment, featuring a Neoclassical urn and a lush floral swag that drapes down the sides of frame. Gilt frame has lovely patina throughout and the original mirror has a nice age. Generously sized, this statement piece would complement a dresser or stylish console. Hang vertically in the bedroom or living room for a touch of drama.
