Description
A grand scale and imposing convex gilt mirror with a finely carved two-tone eagle surmount, dramatic gilt leaf shoulders, acanthus leaves around the inside circumference, imposing foliate decorated and rare double girandole arms with crystal drip guards and drops, and a flourish of leaf carving to the base, all in refined rubbed gilding. Retaining original convex mercury plate set within a ribbed and ebonized border. English, circa 1810.
