Hand mirror model “Camellia” in embossed and enamelled polychrome ceramic, made by Mithé Espelt in the 60s.
Mithé Espelt (1923-2020): A French ceramist known for her unique and complex sculptural pieces, Mithé Espelt was passionate about firing techniques, including raku, and taught ceramics for many years. She has received several prestigious awards for her artistic achievements, including the Grand Prix National de la Céramique in 1991. Espelt passed away in 2020, leaving behind an important artistic legacy, with works that are exhibited in many contemporary art museums in France and abroad.
