Pair Of 19th Century Hand Carved Gilt Wall Mirrors, Italy ca. 1850
-
Description
Remarkable pair of amazing crafted Gilt Wall Mirrors from the mid 19th century in Italy. Elaborately hand carved out of basswood around 1850, these outstanding antique gilt mirrors show an absolute enchanting, elongated design with fantastic shaped acantus leaves and other ornamental elements. Defintely a highlight are the large fans on top reminding of a peacock´s dress. This exceptional pair of italian wall mirrors keeps the still original, beautiful mirror plates which are almost blind (you can still see yourself in it) with a lot of aging spots but exactley this is the absolute charming aspect which we love so much. A truly unusual and pretty decorative pair of 19th century italian wall mirrors.
