Description
A pair of rococo carved girandoles one dating circa 1750, the other modern.
An asymmetrical girandole of the highest form of English rococo, crested by a spray of acanthus leaves and an s-scroll leading to an apposing ho-ho bird atop an outcropping of rocks and supported by a column, opposite a c-scroll entwined with an oak branch, resting on a base formed of c-scrolls, icicles, and floral elements, with twisted branch candle arms. -
