An outstandingly beautiful William and Mary oyster veneer olive wood cushion mirror. The frame is complete, with no losses and the original foxed beveled mirror plate. Small nicks to the veneer at top of frame.

In 1689 the English Parliament declared that King James had abdicated by deserting his kingdom. William (reigned 1689-1702) and Mary (reigned 1689-94) were offered the throne as joint monarchs, during this period fine pieces of English Furniture were produced, this type of veneer finish is typical of the period.
