Unique 18th century cherrywood side chair from the period of emperor Joseph II. of Austria, the son of empress Maria Theresia, around 1790. Made of solid cherrywood, this decorative antique chair has been newly upholstered during the restoration process with a noble green fabric, adorned by breathtaking floral patterns. The simple but artfully crafted backrest is defintley a highlight and impresses with a fantastic shape, framed by ebonized sections. Beautifully solid, hand carved legs and the traditional hand-polished shellac finish complete the fantastic look of this late 18th century "josephinism" side chair which comes in perfect restored condition.
