19th c. Swedish Gustavian Settee with Egyptian Carvings in Original Paint

Description
A beautiful Swedish Gustavian settee with a comfortable barrel-style back, hand-scraped to the original paint surface and newly upholstered in linen. The frame features carved bell flowers with sphinx heads on the arms. The front legs are adorned with lotus leaves and rosettes. Splayed back legs.
