19th Century Nutwood Armchair With Cushion, Handcarved, AT ca. 1880
-
Description
Unique late 19th century armchair, from the so-called "Historism" period in Austria around 1880. Artfully hand carved out of solid nut wood, this decorative baroque style armchair impresses not only with its exceptional design and handcarved details but also with the "out of the ordinary" upholstery: a fantastic looking grey woven fabric with a beige "Africa" theme showing lions and the typical acacia trees. A real eye-catching, unusual seating piece from the late 19th century that doesn't only look great but is also super comfortable to sit.
An additional small cushion is included - see picture #2 -
