Burov was established in 1948 as a French high-class furniture brand on the Rue Crozatier, the heart of the furniture district in Paris. Both a design house and furniture manufacturer, Burov relied on the in-house development and creation of all their pieces, becoming an iconic brand in Parisian design.

This pair of armchairs expresses the Modernist ethos, which left its mark on 20th century design and beyond, while also showcasing French quality and flair. This movement did not shy away from geometric forms, as well as interesting textures and material pairings - attributes that are visible in this pair of armchairs. The angular shape of the chairs is highlighted by the wooden frame which follows the edges, from the tops of the arms to the bottom of the legs, to create a harmonious look. The uniqueness of these pieces is also brought forth as a result of the pairing of the warm wood with the upholstered bodies in a striped fabric, allowing the shades of yellow and green to shine. The texture of the fabric adds another layer of visual dimension and interest.
