A Rare Pair of 19th Century Italian Neoclassical Rosewood Marquise Chairs, the back rail carved with a Greek key pattern, the tight upholstered seats flanked with anthemion motifs above the seat rail painted with vitruvian scrolls, the whole raised on legs terminating in lions paw feet and with the knees of the two front legs accented with winged lions, symbolizing St. Mark the Evangelist
