Sculptural Pair of Adolf Wrenger Armchairs in Beech and Velvet, Germany, 1950s

Description
This rare pair of armchairs was designed by Adolf Wrenger and produced by his company in Lippe, Germany in the early 1950s. The frames in solid, stained beech wood with sculptural armrests connected in a curved line to the back legs. Tapered, slightly curved front legs and rounded seat rail on the front and sides. The chairs retain their original brown and beige patterned velvet upholstery.

The wood has been restored. Fabric has been professionally cleaned, there is a mark on the side of one of the chairs. Reupholstery recommended.
