Afra Bianchin and Tobia Scarpa started their collaboration in the 1959 sharing numerous important project, in particular in the forniture sector, establishing themselves as exponents of elegant and refined architecture and design, for the choice of materials and shapes; pursuing an idea of a durable and correct product. In the 1960 they collaborate for the birth of the Flos Company, for which they have created numerous lamps. Many important commissions from Cassina, B&B, Gavina and Fabbian in their production of armchairs, chairs and sofa.
Here a pair of Armchairs mod. Soriana in collaboration with Cassina in the 1970, design with soft and generous lines created to bring informal and unconventional comfort into the home.
Padding contained in the chromed steel rod elements and covering in white and blue striped fabric.
Afra e Tobia won the Compasso D'Oro in the 1969 for the original drawing of this masterpiece.
