Afra & Tobia Scarpa Model '121' Set of Four Dining Chairs for Cassina, 1965

$ 16,000
  • Description
    A rare set of 4 model '121' dining chairs, the model "121" manufactured by Cassina displays Afra and Tobia Scarpa's typical double trestle structure with a characteristic rounded joint. The walnut supports are slender, the black leather seat and back are shaped and attached by bolts to crosspieces along the center. The backrest has a cut-out in the lower part, and is required due to the presence of a reinforcement that reacts to stress, which is strongest at this point. A strikingly minimalist and graphic design, which would enhance any dining table design.
