Description
Classic Gustavian style upholstered bench made in Sweden circa 1880. With its first paint, this Rococo bench is painted in a subtle light gray palette. Sinuous carved wood frame is full of playful details. Traditional Swedish vase splat back is decorated shell and scrolled acanthus leaf motif throughout. Supported by six graceful legs. This bench comfortably seats four, topped by a plush seat upholstered in lovely blue linen. A versatile piece--it can be used as a bench at the dining table or as a settee in the living room. seat depth is 21.5" and arm height is 25.5"
