The stylish design of this unique Arne Dahlén chair combines the pared-down Swedish elegance and modern aesthetics. Chairs are often considered especially revealing of a designer's skill because of the strict limits placed on their design by the demands of the human body. With this “Eva” model, the designer arrived at a clearly-structured solution in which a high degree of coherence is maintained while the chair appears visually light and open. The structure is made entirely of solid wood with sculpted and tapered legs that are splayed gently, giving stability to the shell body. The legs end in brass caps that accentuate the shape. The elegant simplicity and honesty of the frame is further enhanced by the premium wool blend upholstery which complements the both the cosy shape and solid wood legs gracefully. The streamlined shape and soft fabric create not only a modern and elegant look, but also great comfort, preserving the Swedish ideal of “good design” that holds functionality just as high as aesthetics.

There is something universally appealing about Swedish furniture. Favouring the elegant lines of Swedish classicism of the 1920s, the typical mid-century silhouette is gracefully rounded.
