    Baroque Swedish armchair hand-carved from beechwood and ash (circa 1670-1699), with traces of early ruddy-color paint. Well-worn prominent, almost-serpentine shaped, claw arms, original rope seat and turned upright supports connected by original turned stretchers. All elements of this armchair show all the beautiful patina and wear to be expected of a chair of its age.

    Condition: Good. Wear consistent with age and use. Seat and finish show losses. Fading. Remnants of early or original paint. Woven rope seat appears original, or very early. Some losses in small area in front. All joints have been tightened.
