Biedermeier cherry side chair, the tablet back with an inlaid lozenge over the turned and ebonized spindles; the upholstered seat on square tapering legs.
Seat height 19½"
This elegant chair, with its large inlaid lozenge, belonged to a prominent local architect who paired it with the mirror you see in the last photo (also available). Notice the vertical lozenges in the mirror answer the horizontal one in the chair. Wonderful! -
