Available today, this one-of-a-kind Mid-Century Modern Chaise Lounge made in the sixties is the FIND of year and is nothing less than spectacular.

The sculptural chaise lounge features a solid Brazilian Rosewood (known as Jacaranda) base, with curved arms and two delicate brass tapered legs with brass finishes. The body is upholstered in Italian Green Leather and features a very comfortable curved seat/back rest and three delicate buttons in green leather also.

This piece was found in Teresopolis, a city two hours away from Rio de Janeiro known for its Modernist architecture. The wood was only refinished and showcases gorgeous wood veins, and the upholstery was done by Bianor, one of the best upholsters in Rio de Janeiro.

The piece is displayed in our showroom next to a Sergio Rodrigues credenza and a Giuseppe Scapinelli coffee table and the set looks fabulous.
Equally as practical as beautiful, a versatile piece like these flexes into any Mid-Century Modern, Modern or Contemporary, Transitional, or even Hollywood Regency environment.

Authorship for this piece is unknown but is yet another example of the great design and joinery of Brazil in the sixties.
