Set of six stunning Mid Century Modern Walnut Broyhill Brasilia dining chairs designed by the legendary Oscar Niemeyer, and manufactured by Broyhill for the Brasilia collection, circa early 1960s. The Brasilia line is a collection that was first presented at the world’s fair in Seattle in 1962, as a tribute to the design of Brazilian famed architect Oscar Niemeyer. One of the most celebrated and highly collectible lines on the American atomic era of design. The chairs feature Oscar Niemeyer’s sculptural backs with stylized starburst backs resting on square tapering legs, modern styling with a distinct beautiful design. Rich warm walnut frames with original upholstery and foam seats lending comfort. Classic mid-century modern styling with sturdy, solid construction.
Condition Report: In good vintage condition. All joints are sturdy and tight, original upholstery, no tears.
