Cesare Lacca three seater curved sofa linen velvet 1950s
-
Description
This beautiful sofa designed by Cesare Lacca in Italy in the early 1950s embodies the smooth lines of the art deco sofa of the 1930s and 1940s, with a touch of post-war modernism. Cesare Lacca loved rounded and asymmetrical shape, and this sofa is a typical example of his talent mixing the elegance of the past, and the mid-century modernity. This méridienne really offers something from every angle, and has been fully restored, and reupholstered with a linen velvet fabric by Pierre Frey, reference Georges, made of cotton and linen. It is supported by six solid oak wood feet, slightly tapered, with beautiful sycamore veneer. A truly rare, decorative, statement piece, one of a kind, with stories to tell.
