Description
This stunning set of three swivel bar stools were realized by the illustrious American designer Charles Hollis Jones for Hills Manufacturers in the United States circa 1970. They feature four cylindrical translucent lucite legs that curve gracefully at their bases to form bowed feet; a circular brass foot rest; and two curved amorphic back slat supports secured with brass rivets and intersected at a perpendicular angle by vertical cylindrical supports also in brass. The plush circular seats have been newly reupholstered in a beige Holly Hunt leather incised with a stylized rectilinear concentric pattern in gilt. Designed by one of the luminaries of the 20th century, these bar stools are sure to delight design afficionados as well as those with a penchant for exquisite objects. Their refined color plate and clean modernist lines make them well suited for any style of interior from classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. They have been newly reupholstered and are in excellent vintage condition.
