Child’s Size Painted Plank-Seat Chair
New England, early 19th c.
Yellow paint and stencil decoration on wood.
A wonderful example in desirable yellow paint with colorful stencil decoration, this child’s chair has a paneled crest above arrow-back spindles with a plank seat supported by bamboo turned legs joined by stretchers.
