Chinese Garden Seat
-
Description
This is a pair of Sancai pottery classic garden seats featuring high relief tigers and pine trees as their primary decoration. The two-color Sancai glazing is uncommon in garden seats as if the high relief tiger decoration, both of these features are highly desirable. The garden seats are in overall good to very good original condition with normal and anticipated minot patination. There are scattered small chips to the bases, which is normal considering age and use.
**Sancai glazing originated in the Tang dynasty and witnessed a revival in the later part of the 20th period. -
