Four Mid Century American Windsor Dining Armchairs Claud Bunyard
-
Description
Set of four American mid century Windsor armchairs designed by Claud Bunyard (1910-2005) for Nichols and stone. They feature curved top rail with extended bow back design elegantly swooping down to flat armrests, supported by a series of spindles joined to a beautiful molded wide seat. The arms and rims are made of a single bent piece of wood that serves as the backrests and armrests of the chairs reinforcing the strength of the frames ending with splayed legs on back and front. These “CB10” chairs, made in ash by Nichols & Stone Co., are a mid-century modernist interpretation of the traditional Windsor armchairs.
