Description
Extremely fine pair of decorative 19th Century Italian painted and parcel gilt armchairs of neo-classical design.
Italian Late 19th C - Circa 1880.
Oozing style these very attractive parcel gilt armchairs have husk and foliate-carved imbricated frames, the arched toprails with bud finials over padded oval backs, the padded down-curved arms and stuffed seats on panelled square tapering legs.
We have another pair of these chairs available as they are a set of four, this pair have been recently upholstered by us in the traditional manner with a fine quality platinum silk.
These chairs will work in most rooms of the home, both a contemporary and traditional setting.
Please note these are unusual in design having the rounded back within a square and arched back frame.
