Edward Wormley was a longtime director of design for the Dunbar furniture company and was one of the leading forces in bringing modern design into American homes in the mid-20th century. His designs were included in the MoMA "Good Design" exhibitions of the 1950s besides Harry Bertoia, George Nelson, Charles & Ray Eames, among others.
