American made in and for a buyer in the Deep South in the late 19th century, a set of 18 painted dining chairs in the style of Louis XVI. The two armchairs measure 22" deep x 25 1/2" wide x 38" tall. The paint has been professionally restored in the same color as the original. The gilding has been retouched. The upholstery is very recent and of finest quality.
