A beautiful Mid-Century Modern, stylish Ekornes Stressless reclining lounge chair and ottoman. Features rich, leather upholstery, polished chrome frame swivel base and adjustable reclining seat back. The chair has a unique glide system that follows your body’s movements for the perfect position, swivels, – reclines – locks in position – beautiful base/frame. Detailing plush detachable cushion, with beautiful stitching creating a handsome and inviting presence. Makers label on the underside (J. E. Ekornes A/S Norway). The beautiful base complements the rich tone of the leather, providing a striking contrast. Simple lines and Scandinavian styling, paired with matching ottoman. Stressless recliners, manufactured by Ekornes in Norway, are among the most exceptional recliners made. A comfortable addition to any interior.
Condition Report: Exhibit little signs of wear, frame is in good structural condition. Original leather upholstery with no rips or tears, has very little fading. Construction is strong and sturdy.
MODEL: Stressless (Stressless was introduced in 1971, as the first recliner designed to meet your body’s need for movement and support when seated. The first Stressless was launched in Norway and immediately became the first real TV chair. You could lean backwards and rest, watch TV in comfort or turn around to face the coffee table with one easy movement.
