Charles II Spindle-Back 17th Century Oak Settle, English, ca. 1650-1670
A Very rare and unique English Oak bench, of triple chair-back form with three sections of turned spindles, topped by a wavy carved cresting, downswept open arms on short turned front supports, the beautifully figured plank seat supported by turned legs and two turned front spindles united by the front seat rail and stretcher. A delightful example for the Oak Collector.
